The former CEO of watch manufacturer A. Lange & Söhne will take up his position at MÄURER & WIRTZ on 1 February 2010.
Stolberg, Germany, 24.11.2009 - Perfume manufacturer MÄURER & WIRTZ, located in Stolberg, Germany, has appointed Fabian Krone (46) as its new Managing Director. Krone comes from the Glashütte-based watch manufacturer A. Lange & Söhne, where he has been CEO since 2004. He will take up his new position on 1 February 2010 and will lead MÄURER & WIRTZ together with Managing Partner Dr Hermann Wirtz.
“Fabian Krone is ideal for the position of Managing Director at MÄURER & WIRTZ,” explains Dr Hermann Wirtz. “With his international experience in brand management, his knowledge of the luxury and premium segment and his wealth of sales expertise, he brings with him everything that is necessary to lead MÄURER & WIRTZ into the next phase of its development.”
After studying Business Management in Regensburg and Cologne, Fabian Krone began his career in 1990 at the FIAT Group, where he held a number of positions of responsibility over a twelve-year period. The most recent of these was his role as Director of International Distribution Strategy at the group’s headquarters in Turin. In 2003, Krone moved to the watch manufacturer A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte where he was initially in charge of Sales, Marketing and Product Development before taking on the position of CEO in 2004.
