How do I apply to Mäurer & Wirtz?

In addition to your up-to-date CV and your relevant certificates and references, we would also welcome a cover letter, telling us who you are and why you are interested in the position.

For us, it’s best when both aspects fit the position. In order to be well prepared, you should think about the role in question and reflect on what questions you would ask yourself in connection with the position and our company. Of course, you are not expected to pay the cost of coming to your interview. We will be happy to reimburse you for any travel expenses incurred in accordance with our travel expenses policy. Please contact our HR managers for further details.

It’s not a problem for us if you are abroad during the application process. For the first interview, we are happy to arrange a video interview. Nevertheless, we would like to meet you in person and get to know you before we offer you a job.

When you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation of receipt from us immediately. However, please be patient afterwards so we can take a close look at your application documents.

You are welcome to apply for more than one job at once. We would be delighted if several of our vacancies catch your eye. It is best to send us a separate application for each position.

After receiving your application, we will look at your documents in detail and coordinate with the relevant department. If your profile meets our requirements, we would like to get to know you personally and you will receive an invitation to participate in an interview with us either online or in person.

In the first interview, we want to get to know you better and you can also get an idea of us as an employer. It is important to us that you personally are a good match for us and are able to identify with our corporate culture.

If we both come away from the interview with a positive impression, then we would like to give you the opportunity to meet our head of HR, Yvonne Jussen, and the head of the department you’re applying to in a second meeting. Depending on the position, the second interview might include a case study on a specialist subject or a development centre. You will receive all the relevant information and documents for this from us in plenty of time.

Are you a good match for us? And we’re a good match for you? Great! We’ll send you a contract offer after the second interview. To avoid wasting time, we will get back to you shortly after the second interview.

Can I work part-time at Mäurer & Wirtz?

Yes, this is also possible because we value having a good work-life balance very highly and we allow our employees to maintain a good balance through flexitime systems and various part-time models. Feel free to check out our benefits.

Stagnation impedes real passion. That’s why we constantly invest in the continuing education of our employees. We give you the opportunity to take part in exciting internal or external seminars, extensive training courses or other attractive activities. A separate training budget for each employee allows us to support your development to the greatest extent possible, depending on what is needed. We also offer in-house development programmes and exciting dialogue formats for sharing thoughts and ideas with your teammates.

Our production line rarely powers down. For this reason, shift work will also be required in our production team. The shifts are currently divided into an early shift and a late shift. Production staff only work weekends in special cases.

In which areas can I do a student internship at Mäurer & Wirtz?

At Mäurer & Wirtz, you can get an insight into our fragrance world in many different areas and gain valuable practical experience. In particular, we are looking for motivated interns all year round in the Marketing, Human Resources and Packaging Development departments.

Your internship should last at least three months so you can take on your own topics and projects. An ideal duration for you and us is six months so you can take on even more responsibility and really get involved.

At Mäurer & Wirtz, we always love exciting bachelor’s or master’s theses and are happy to support them. Simply contact your HR manager to discuss the next steps.

Depending on the department and activity, we are also happy to offer work for students as well as holiday jobs (especially during the summer holidays in the production department). The best way to find out more is to speak to the relevant HR manager.

Yes, at Mäurer & Wirtz, you can do both a compulsory and a voluntary internship.

What qualifications do I need?

These depend on the apprenticeship profession you’re interested in. Take a look at the introduction to our apprenticeship professions.

The duration of the training period depends on the apprenticeship profession. You can find more information in the introduction to our apprenticeship professions. With appropriate prior education and good performance in both the company and the vocational school, the trainee course may be completed in a shorter time.

In principle, we train our trainees with the aim of their using and furthering the expertise gained in the trainee position in our company. As such, we try to take you on long-term after your training and we have a fixed hiring scheme for at least one year for all trainees.

After careful examination of your documents, we will contact you promptly by email. If we feel you could be a good fit for us, we invite you to a hiring test, interview and/or assessment centre.

If you have convinced us in the recruitment process and we’ve won you over, you will receive an offer and then your training contract.

In your interview, we would like to get to know you and better assess your expertise and skills. Just be yourself – that’s the best way to find out if you’re right for us and we’re right for you. Think about why you are interested in the trainee position. We look forward to meeting you in person and having an authentic and open conversation.

You can apply at any time by looking at the available trainee positions. As a rule, you should apply for a trainee position at least one year in advance if you want to start on the 1st of August the following year.

You are welcome to apply for multiple trainee positions if your interests and qualifications match. Please make sure to submit an individual application for each training position.

Your training allowance is subject to the applicable wage agreement.

At the beginning of your training, you will participate in an induction week. During this week you will learn important basics, get to know your way around the company premises and get to know the other trainees. There is also a two-day trip during this week to get to know each other better. For better support, at the beginning of your training period, you will be paired with a second-year mentor who will also take part in the trip.

You will also take part in language courses and other training opportunities. At the end of your training, an exam preparation course ensures you are fully prepared for your final examination.
