Michael Mäurer and Andreas August Wirtz were the two young entrepreneurs who laid the foundation for our international group of companies when they opened their soap factory in 1845: the “dalli-Werke Mäurer & Wirtz”. Today, these are two separate divisions. The dalli-group is one of the leading German producers in the field of detergents. As an independent subsidiary of the dalli-group, Mäurer & Wirtz is one of the three largest fragrance manufacturers in Germany. Led by the owner and managing director, the companies are controlled by an advisory board and still fully owned by the Wirtz family.

The entrepreneurial vision of the Wirtz family is renowned. Mäurer & Wirtz is one of the most important employers in its region. The company still relies on its Rhineland location for production and administration and has grown over decades thanks to its long history.
