Mäurer & Wirtz – A family company
Passion and expertise that shapes every action
Perfume development, brand design and maintenance: with passion and expertise we are committed to our fragrances.
Michael Mäurer and Andreas August Wirtz were the two young entrepreneurs who laid the foundation for our international group of companies when they opened their soap factory in 1845: the “dalli-Werke Mäurer & Wirtz”. Today, these are two separate divisions. The dalli-group is one of the leading German producers in the field of detergents. As an independent subsidiary of the dalli-group, Mäurer & Wirtz is one of the three largest fragrance manufacturers in Germany. Led by the owner and managing director, the companies are controlled by an advisory board and still fully owned by the Wirtz family.
“We think and act not in terms of quarters, but generations.”
The entrepreneurial vision of the Wirtz family is renowned. Mäurer & Wirtz is one of the most important employers in its region. The company still relies on its Rhineland location for production and administration and has grown over decades thanks to its long history. This can be felt in the way each individual employee identifies with the company and our brands. Every employee can free their imagination and have a tangible impact. Innovative strength, proximity and communication as equals are integral parts of our culture. Everyone contributes their expertise in the best possible way. Thanks to this culture, the beauty company Mäurer & Wirtz now has 330 employees.
