The invigorating compositions of 4711 Acqua Colonia are appreciated by fragrance enthusiasts for their versatility – in addition to their familiar, fresh components, they always include an exciting counterpart that gives the fragrances a certain twist or a special volume by means of herbal, woody or spicy notes. As a result, the portfolio contains not only light Eaux de Cologne but also complex compositions. After all, the olfactory range of an Eau de Cologne is very diverse.

As a perfume expert and perfumer for the fragrance manufacturer Mäurer & Wirtz, Alexandra Kalle is responsible for all the creations of the 4711 brand. She explains:

Myrrh & Kumquat – harmonising
Acqua Colonia Myrrh & Kumquat opens up a mysterious fragrance world as the smoky-balsamic note of myrrh interacts with the fruitiness of the kumquat. A fascinating composition that brings the contrast of balsamic spice and sweet freshness into perfect harmony and generates a sense of inner peace and composure.

Saffron & Iris – relaxing
The voluminous fragrance composition Acqua Colonia Saffron & Iris combines the powdery notes of the elegant iris with the aromatic tang of saffron. Two particularly precious ingredients, which fuse together to form a velvety whole and bring relaxation into everyday life through their fine, warm fragrance.

Lemon & Ginger – vitalising:
A vibrant fragrance that embodies the lightness of summer and is reminiscent of ripe lemon trees on the slopes of Sicily. The fascinating composition of vitalising lemon and stimulating ginger smells of sunshine and makes you long to spend a wonderful day in the great outdoors.

White Peach & Coriander – balancing:

The design – a harmonious concept
The flacon and the folding box from 4711 Acqua Colonia are distinguished by a modern retro design. The traditional Molanus flacon underlines the elegance and strong character of the fragrances with its high-quality relief finish. The natural-looking box in soft green accentuates the stylish botanical drawings of the individual ingredients to great effect. The label, which describes the effect of the fragrance in six languages, conveys internationality and harmoniously rounds off the design of 4711 Acqua Colonia.

The campaign – a work of art for the senses
Inventiveness, a creative spirit and inspiration in harmony with nature – that is what 4711 Acqua Colonia is all about. Gabriel Moreno was recruited in order to implement this brand content at a visual level for the campaign of 4711 Acqua Colonia. The famous Spanish illustrator created small works of art based on the various key visuals that reflect the fascination of the Eaux de Cologne in a sensual and emotional way. "It was very inspiring to work on visualising the fragrances of Acqua Colonia. The unusual combination of ingredients, the connection with nature and the effect of fragrances on the mood of people are rewarding themes for an artist," said Gabriel Moreno in describing his work on the campaign.
