The series of awards for the fragrance brand 4711 never stops: all four fragrance variants of the initial launch of the Acqua Colonia Intense collection received awards from the women's magazine Cosmopolitan in 2020, and now the new Refreshing Lagoons of Laos has received an accolade in the same category "Premium Women's Fragrance". The fact that all the fragrances of Acqua Colonia Intense received the prestigious Prix de Beauté confirms that 4711 satisfies the taste of both the professional audience and consumers with the exceptional premium Eaux de Cologne series.

The formal award ceremony was held in mid-May in the Kurhaus Wiesbaden, where Stephan Kemen, Managing Director of Mäurer & Wirtz, personally accepted the award: "A specialist jury nominated three outstanding product innovations in the 'Premium Women's Fragrance‘ category. We are grateful that the experts recognised our innovative capabilities and that we were therefore included in the shortlist for user voting. In times like the present, what is only average is no longer satisfactory – it is exceptional products that attract attention. About the Prix de Beauté
At the Prix de Beauté, lifestyle magazine Cosmopolitan awards a series of prizes every year to the most outstanding and innovative beauty products in the international cosmetics industry. Several hundred products are submitted to a panel of specialists consisting of dermatologists, cosmetics experts and representatives of the Cosmopolitan editorial team who then assess them on the basis of innovation, effectiveness and design. The winners of some categories are chosen by a user vote, while others are decided by the jury of experts. This year, the Prix de Beauté was awarded for the 30th time. In 2019, the fragrance brand 4711 launched the premium fragrance line "Acqua Colonia Intense", for which international perfumers interpreted places of longing as olfactory resonances and captured them in complex fragrance creations: the mystical beauty of the forest (Wakening Woods of Scandinavia), the colourful abundance of delicate wild flowers in a meadow (Floral Fields of Ireland), the exotic summery sea breeze on the beach of Zanzibar (Sunny Seaside of Zanzibar) and the refreshing air of a mountain peak (Pure Breeze of Himalaya). And with the latest creation, 4711 Acqua Colonia Intense Refreshing Lagoons of Laos, the aquatic freshness of a hidden lagoon deep in the rainforest. One year after the launch of the first four Eaux de Cologne, Acqua Colonia Intense won the fiercely contested "Premium Women's Fragrance" category at the Prix de Beauté 2020, an achievement followed by more international awards and this year's prize for the new addition to the range.

With 4711 Acqua Colonia Refreshing Lagoons of Laos, perfumer Elise Benat has captured aquatic tropical notes replete with originality and naturalness, reminiscent of a mysterious lagoon in the rainforest. The special component: the lotus flower, which feels at home in the warm, clear and calm waters of Asia and is a symbol of purity, loyalty, creativity and enlightenment. In olfactory terms, it exudes fresh, delicate, floral, aquatic and spicy notes and endows the heart of this fragrance with its uniqueness.
