Dutch Beauty Award

4711 Remix Cologne and s.Oliver Black Label win Dutch Beauty Award

The prestigious press award for the best cosmetics launches came in a whole new look this year. What used to be the Astir Award is now called “Dutch Beauty Award” and is the only Dutch prize, awarded by professional journalists for the best cosmetic products. A record number of entries, nearly 200, were judged by the Experts of Beauty on content, appearance and price.

WINNER: 4711 Remix Cologne (Orange)
The association that one has with the feather-light freshness of an Eau de Cologne has been with the brand 4711 since time immemorial as a sparkling scent cloud. The many memories it evokes make for an unforgettable experience and are the essence of the global success of 4711.

The classic scent of this brand, the 4711 Original Eau de Cologne, gets its unique character with scents such as lemon, bergamot, orange, lavender, rosemary, neroli and petitgrain. Based on this, 4711 launched a new subline in 2018. One of the seven basic notes of 4711 Original Eau de Cologne in a limited edition called "Remix Cologne" is in the foreground.

According to the jury:
The basis is a citrus note that has remained unchanged for over 225 years and that we have known for generations. Standing still is going backwards, and therefore the innovative concept of the 4711 Remix Cologne deserves the highest recognition. Each one of the known seven basic fragrance notes of the original is modern and reinterpreted. The first – with orange at its core – is achieved with an immediate base note: the summer in a bottle. The winner of this year is rightly called 4711 Remix Cologne (Orange).

2nd PRIZE: s.Oliver Black Label - s.Oliver Black Label Women
This feminine composition with its orange and mandarin notes plus the soft scent of peach exudes grace and openness before evolving into a floral heart note comprising opulent rose, jasmine and lilac. The sensuous base notes complete the fragrance with intensive musk and vanilla facets.

A fragrance that emphasises the tasteful and fashionable character of the wearer. Casual but highly sophisticated, an accessible occasional scent without being overbearing.

According to the jury:
Luxurious but accessible. That is the ambition of this fashion house, which has also been making its voice heard in the fragrance sector for many years. The jury praised the good price/quality ratio, the handsome, minimalist bottle and – of course – the widely appealing fresh & fruity fragrance: s.Oliver Black Label Women.

3rd PRIZE: Intimacy - Intimacy Pink
