Restructuring at Mäurer & Wirtz: The PR department is now a staff unit

With immediate effect, the PR department at Mäurer & Wirtz is assigned to executive management as a staff unit in terms of content and organisation. Johanna Wahlers is assuming the management of the PR department as Group PR Manager, reporting directly to Managing Director Stephan Kemen.

Under the leadership of Managing Director Stephan Kemen, the Mäurer & Wirtz PR department will become a staff unit.

Special times require special measures Stephan Kemen comments on the restructuring, "The coronavirus pandemic and the effects of the flood disaster at the Stolberg site have made us aware of the importance of strong, well-organised corporate communications with short communication lines to management." In addition to controlling international product PR for the twelve Mäurer & Wirtz fragrance brands, in the future, the repositioned PR department will be focused on strategic corporate communications.

New structures, familiar contact persons For PR activities for Mäurer & Wirtz brand communication, the long-standing successful cooperation with the Martina Drewing PR agency, responsible for both Germany and the international agencies fs agency, appletree pr and Rottenschlager Consulting + PR GmbH, will continue. Internally, Johanna Wahlers will assume responsibility for the area upon her return from parental leave and promotion to Group PR Manager. She has been responsible for managing consumer and corporate PR at Mäurer & Wirtz for over six years following her tenure at one of the largest international public relations networks.
