The German Brand Award prizes for successful brand management in Germany were awarded on 15 June 2023. Mäurer & Wirtz was once again recognised for its bold concepts, winning Gold – the highest award – in the “Beauty & Care” category with its hej:pure line, among others. The new fragrance concept 4711 Remix was chosen as the Winner of the same category and the direct-to-consumer fragrance brand Orodion received a Special Mention in the category “Brand Communication – Influencer Marketing”.
Mäurer & Wirtz is successfully shaping the fragrance and marketing industries on its way to becoming a top international player. After only six months on the market, the family-owned company won the first ever “Green Award” at the Duftstars 2022 fragrance awards for its sustainable fragrance brand hej:pure; the accolade is the pioneering sustainability award of the German perfume industry. The fragrance house has also proven its innovative strength for forward-looking brand strategies in the past with the multi-award-winning fragrance concept behind 4711 Remix and the sold-out drops of the direct-to-consumer brand Orodion. The success continues for the fragrance manufacturer in 2023. Gold and Winner awards for the responsible fragrance brand hej:pure
Since its launch in 2022, hej:pure has been inspiring consumers and industry experts alike with its fun approach to sustainability. hej:pure is the first holistically sustainable fragrance concept from the fragrance manufacturer Mäurer & Wirtz that takes into account the entire value chain – from sustainably grown resources and supporting social and ecological environmental projects to sustainable, recycled and recyclable packaging. The fragrance formulations also play their part. The “Clean Fragrances” do not contain any controversial ingredients such as dyes, palm oil, mineral oil, phthalates or UV filters and are also 100% vegan. In the Excellent Brands discipline, which awards the best product and corporate brands in an industry, the fragrance brand received Gold – the highest award – in the main category “Beauty & Care”. hej:pure also received the Winner award in the category “Excellent Brands – Sustainable Brand of the Year”. Two trend-setting accolades in the fragrance industry. Special Mention for the direct-to-consumer brand Orodion with influencer Justin
In 2021, Mäurer & Wirtz launched the first direct-to-consumer fragrance concept Orodion with the most sought-after fashion influencer and founder of the fashion label Peso, Justin; Orodion provides the olfactory element to his clothing. 2022 saw continuation of the strong partnership that sets standards. The result is a luxurious fragrance brand in the high-priced segment that uses only the highest quality ingredients. Both fragrances are exclusively available online, with one selling out in just a few hours and the other in a single day. The fragrance concept received a Special Mention for brand management in the category “Brand Communication – Influencer Marketing” and the discipline “Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation”, which honours the strongest campaigns, concepts and strategies within individual disciplines.

The German Brand Award is the award for successful brand management in Germany. Since 2016, it has been showcasing and awarding unique brands and brand makers. Initiated by the German Design Council and judged by a high-calibre panel of experts from brand economics and brand science, it is made up of independent, interdisciplinary experts from the worlds of business, science, consulting, services and agencies.
